About Us
Let us introduce ourselves.
We are Juan and Kelly; designers, life partners, minimalists and founders of Object Department. We met while studying design in Italy (more on that later) and feel in love with each other and our mutual passions of design and travel.
We collectively have degrees in architecture, interior design, and furniture design with loads of experience working for other people. This project is a way for us to share our vision of the world with you.
Our favorite activity together is taking a walk - we make a habit to do this wherever we are. We stop to look at world and examine all its wonders - bugs, plants, people, and the built environment. This daily ritual requires only ourselves and our attention; allowing us the gift of curiosity and inquisitiveness.

These objects are made in collaboration with artisans in Colombia utilizing traditional craft. Why Colombia? Juan was born and raised there and it is important to us to work in the communities that raised us.
